About me
Even as a child, I was strongly drawn to photography and art, and by the age of 14, it was clear to me that this would be my profession.
In 1971, I began my studies in photography and film at the Belgian school NARAFI, which I successfully completed in 1973. Afterward, I gained two years of practical experience as an assistant to the Dutch photographer Hans Götze in The Hague, who had published several textbooks on photography.

During this time, I was fortunate to meet Georgette Berger, the widow of the famous surrealist painter René Magritte. He had always been a major inspiration for me, and it was an honor to photograph Georgette and the extraordinary works of René Magritte. His impressive paintings are still on display today at the Royal Museums of Fine Arts in Brussels at the Musée Magritte.
From 1975 to 1976, I spent half a year in London to broaden my international experience before starting as a junior photographer at Reinhart Wolf in Hamburg. Wolf, a luminary in European photography and co-founder and president of the Art Directors Club in Germany, inspired me to specialize in still-life photography, which continues to fascinate me to this day.

In 1978, I took the leap into self-employment and opened my first studio in Hamburg. For over 25 years, I worked in editorial and advertising for international companies and brands. On behalf of renowned culinary magazines such as Essen & Trinken, Feinschmecker, and Stern, I traveled to countries like France, Italy, and Spain to artistically photograph and visually capture the creations of world-renowned chefs such as Bocuse and Lenôtre.

A special highlight of my career was in 2011 when I visualized the "Scent of Light" at the Global Art of Perfumery Fair in Düsseldorf. I was also passionate about staging and photographing Leonardo da Vinci's "The Last Supper" as part of the creation of the "Divine Scent."
Additionally, in 2008, I was responsible for the photographic work for the perfume edition 14, the annually published "Scent Guide," a book about perfumes and lifestyle. Thanks to a team of experienced stylists, special effects experts, and CGI specialists, as well as the support of my son, I was always able to offer my clients photography of the highest level.

After over 25 years in the fashion and advertising industry, I finally decided to follow my passion for literature, poetry, as well as the artistic and creative design and visualization of language and image.
